In addition to offering a variety of surgical treatment options for treating back and neck conditions, our practice also offers a wide selection of non-surgical treatment options. Such non-surgical treatments can be great solutions for mild, non-emergency conditions, or for patients who would simply rather not undergo even minimally invasive surgery.

Non-surgical treatment options currently offered by Dr. Neece’s practice include:

Many of these non-surgical treatment options are quick (less than an hour) and painless, and will have you back to regular daily activity immediately after completion. Some non-surgical treatments can be used whenever pain or disability arise (like physical therapy or TENS therapy), while others are used primarily as a temporary solution to help ease pain while a patient works with other long-term therapies. In some cases, non-surgical options may even be paired with surgical intervention to achieve the best results.

The type of non-surgical procedure used to treat a given condition should be determined on a case-by-case basis, starting with an appropriate evaluation and diagnosis followed by a thorough exploration of appropriate treatment options with ones doctor. If you are in the process of choosing a treatment for your neurological issue(s), it is important to maintain an open line of communication with your doctor(s), and ask any questions you may have. Proper communication and an open mind to various options can help ease the decision-making process. An experienced neurologist like Dr. Neece will be careful to recommend not only the most appropriate treatment to ameliorate the problem at hand, but also to fit the patient’s particular needs and level of fitness. What is best for one individual may carry significantly more risk for another.
